He has over two decades of experience in financial markets across New York, Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney. Prior to joining Maybank Securities, he led the interbank business at Natixis where he built their synthetic prime business in Asia Pacific, and was responsible for securities financing sales-trading. Preceding which he was with UBS for eight years, leading their Asian prime sales efforts in the US and Singapore. Before that he built and led the hedge fund research sales business at Eurekahedge in Singapore.

He holds an MA in Scottish Literature from the University of Edinburgh, as well as a Shodan in Shonji Kempo. He is a published poet and an accomplished sailor.
