Thilan is responsible for institutional and retail equity research covering Singapore market strategy, sector and corporate analysis. He also covers the banking and financial sector strategy for the region.
In addition, Thilan also contributes to driving sustainability strategy, new product development, and innovation integration for Maybank Investment Banking Group (Maybank IBG).
He has nearly 20 years of experience working with HSBC, CLSA and Credit Suisse advising investors in equity research and market strategy. His client portfolio includes some of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds, mutual & hedge funds, and family offices. Thilan has won a number of industry awards including AsiaMoney and Starmine. He is a panellist and frequent public speaker on investment strategy topics and is featured regularly on global media including the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, CNA, and Bloomberg.
Thilan graduated from the University of Sheffield, UK with a BA(Hons) in Accounting and Financial Management and holds a certificate in Leading Sustainable Organisations from Said Business School, University of Oxford.
