Maybank remains committed to delivering secure banking solutions to curb unauthorised transactions and fraudulent activities

Maybank announces that all transactions from Maybank2u Biz app and web platforms will require Secure2u authorisation. All Maybank2u Biz account holders are recommended to activate the Secure2u authorisation before 26 November 2023. Any activation of Secure2u for Maybank2u Biz app after 26 November 2023 will require a minimum 12-hour activation period.

The Secure2u on Maybank2u Biz underscores Maybank's commitment to delivering secure and convenient banking solutions to curb unauthorised transactions and fraudulent activities for customers, in line with Maybank's strategic thrusts for M25+ in intensifying its customer centricity.

Maybank has been diligently and progressively implementing additional measures to ensure utmost protection for our valued customers, in heed of Bank Negara Malaysia’s direction to combat financial frauds and scams. This includes migrating SMS TAC to Secure2u, dedicated complaint channel for incident reporting, verification and activation period of a minimal of 12-hours, single mobile device for authorisation and activating Secure2u at ATMs for first-time registration and new devices for individual MAE app and M2U web users. We are adamant to ensure the safety and efficiency of our services for all our customers,” he continued.

Key Highlights:

1. Secure2u will be the only authorisation method to approve Maybank2u Biz transactions.
   
   
2. Activation of Secure2u on Maybank2u Biz after 26 November 2023 will require a minimum 12-hour activation period.
   
   
3. To activate Secure2u for Maybank2u Biz:
   Download Maybank2u Biz app on the mobile from Apple Store (iOS V12.0 and above) and Google Play Store (Android V9.0 and above).
   
   1. Launch Maybank2u Biz app and tap “Control Centre” located at the top left of the app.
   2. Select “Settings”.
   3. Select “Security”.
   4. Toggle on “Secure2u” to activate.

4. Unlike activation for Secure2u authorisation on the MAE app for first time users and new devices, activating Secure2u for Maybank2u Biz does not require the additional step to authorise at the ATM.

Secure2u provides the convenience and security to authorise Maybank2u Biz transactions. With one-tap approvals through the Maybank2u Biz app, users can approve or reject the transactions. Transactions will only be processed and amount deducted from the accounts upon the approvals from Secure2u verifications.
