Shirley Goh
Independent Non-Executive Director
Shirley Goh was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Maybank on 1 December 2021. She also serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Credit Review Committee of the Board as well as the Board Sustainability Committee.
She is a member of The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and The Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
Shirley Goh retired from PricewaterhouseCoopers Malaysia in June 2020 having worked with PwC for 41 years, of which 24 years were as a Partner. During her time in PwC, she was a long serving member of the Assurance Executive Team and was elected by the Partners to the Oversight Board in 2016 which she chaired for 4 years prior to her retirement in June 2020.
She has over 40 years of experience in audit and had provided business advisory services to a diverse range of clients, including local enterprises and conglomerates as well as multinational companies in financial services, healthcare, property development, poultry farming, retail, services etc. Apart from this, she also has a myriad of experience advising on local and cross-border Merger & Acquisition transactions at all stages of integration. She has also worked with clients with overseas operations such as in China, India, Singapore, Vietnam and Indonesia.
Within the Maybank Group, Shirley Goh sits on the Board of Maybank Asset Management Group Berhad, Maybank Asset Management Sdn Bhd and Maybank (Cambodia) Plc. She is also the Chairman of Maybank Trustees Berhad.
Besides Maybank Group, she is a Director of IOI Properties Group Berhad and Perennial Wealth Sdn Bhd, and was previously a Director of IJM Plantations Berhad and UEM Edgenta Berhad.
