Rajiv has been an investment banker for over 25 years, working on award-winning, landmark deals with some of the biggest clients in ASEAN.

As Regional Head of Investment Banking & Advisory at Maybank Investment Banking Group (Maybank IBG), he oversees the business covering Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Advisory and Debt Markets in ASEAN and Hong Kong. A full suite of products are provided: IPO, Rights Issues, Corporate Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions, Debt Capital Markets, Sustainable Financing, Project Finance and Project Finance Advisory, Leverage Finance and Syndicated Lending.

He joined Maybank IBG in 2006 as Head of Retail Business, later assuming the role as Head of Institutional Sales, then Head of ECM, Malaysia, and then Regional Head of ECM until the latest appointment in 2017. Prior to joining Maybank IBG, Rajiv held senior roles at RHB Group, the last being Executive Director of RHB Securities.

Rajiv graduated from Macquarie University, with a Bachelor of Economics, and is a fully qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW).
