THE JOURNEY OF THE TIGER

Our story began in 1960. Back then, Malaysia was called Malaya and we had just gained independence from the British. Tunku Abdul Rahman was our first Prime Minister and as a new country, we were finding our place in Asia and the world. When we first started, we went by the name Malayan Banking Berhad. Over time, we operated under the name "Maybank" and we've kept to that.

Over the decades, we have celebrated many achievements with you, both bitter and sweet and we have never wavered in our commitment. The goal has always been the same - to serve you. That includes accessibility to financial assistance for businesses to thrive.
