We started our collaboration with the Malaysian Conservation Alliance for Tigers (MYCAT) in 2011. Our RM1 million contribution over two years funds research projects into the effective conservation of wild tiger habitat in Malaysia.Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)
The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is a not-for-profit organisation that provides investors with a unique analysis of how the world’s largest companies are responding to the challenge of climate change. Participation in the CDP allows companies to better understand how to protect themselves from the impacts of climate change and come up with ways to become more energy-efficient. Since 2010, Maybank has been one of the only two Malaysian companies that participate in the CDP.
The CDP scoring gives an indication of the level of commitment and experience of a company’s carbon disclosure. For the 2012 CDP Assessment, we received a total score of 58, an improvement from the previous year’s score of 37. We aim to do even better in the years to come.
