Spectators at the Maybank Malaysian Open 2012 (MMO) in KLGCC from today to 15 April 2012 will have a chance to help the less fortunate through a number of charity activities.

These include the Sky Rider, a unique pressurised balloon ride that allows passengers to catch an aerial view of the tournament. Another special activity to keep an eye out for is the Maybank Charity Putt Challenge (Mini Link) where the public can test their skills with the 9-hole mini link putt and stand a chance to win interesting prizes which include an iPad 2. Spectators can enjoy the adrenaline rush of either activity while doing their part for charity for a minimum RM10 per game.

Proceeds from the Maybank Sky Rider and Charity Putt Challenge will be in aid of the Maybank Liver Transplant Centre at Hospital Selayang and will be topped-up with an additional RM50,000 by the Maybank Foundation.

Star players of the MMO namely Charl Schwartzel, Martin Kaymer, Alvaro Quiros and Louis Oosthuizen also lent their support to the patients of the Maybank Liver Transplant Centre in Hospital Selayang by giving their autographs on a special inspirational board. The board will be placed at the hospital and is hoped to be the source of inspiration to the patients undergoing treatment there.
