Maybank Mega-Treats Fair Offers Great Value Saving

Maybank Mega-Treats Fair Offers Great Value Savings and Treats for the Family

Maybank is holding its Mega Treats Fair in conjunction with the ongoing Malaysia Mega-Sale to offer more savings for customers. The Treats Fair is the country’s largest one-stop redemption fair by a financial institution to be held at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre Kuala Lumpur from 31 July to 3 August 2008.

TreatsPoints is Maybank’s reward programme that offer loyalty points for payments using Maybank debit, charge or credit cards. The TreatsPoints do not have expiry date and can be redeemed for a range of goods and services throughout the year.

‘Since the first Treats Fair in 2005, visitors to the annual Fair have grown steadily from 43,000 to 110,000 last year. This year, we anticipate an increase over 30% in number of visitors to the Treats Fair compared to last year. To attract visitors, the Fair has more than 250 merchants, twice the number over last year,” said Spencer Lee, Head Consumer Banking.

Products at the Fair include home & living, healthcare, fashion & beauty, electrical, IT & communications, recreational and travel packages.

“The Fair is unique as it allows customers to purchase items without spending by using only their TreatsPoints. Given today’s rising cost of living, customers are more savvy when it comes to spending. This Treats Fair provides an excellent opportunity to enjoy more savings given the special prices and discounts which are only offered at the Fair,” added Spencer.

At this event, Maybank will also offer a 60 minute approval for new credit cards as well as promoting its home financing and bancassurance products. Cardholders will also benefit from EzyPay offers with zero interest repayment period of up to 36 months. Cardholders who spend a certain amount can also participate in the Fiesta contest to win free flights to either Bali or Phuket.

“With the special promotions and repayment plans, the Fair is more than just about sales. Customers can also pamper themselves to something extra, like a vacation, electronic or home appliances. The Fair is also a carnival for the whole family. There will be daily activities such as fast food / ice cream eating and colouring contests, Magic Show, Stila Makeover, the KL Children’s Choir Performance and PetroSains Science Show,” added Spencer.

As part of the Bank’s community service, Maybank in collaboration with the Royal Malaysian Police will set up a Police Traffic COPs counter at the Fair for those who wish to settle their traffic summons. The public can pay their summons with their debit or credit card.
