About

Mayban Investment is a fund management company licensed under the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007. It is the fund management arm of the Maybank Group. It is 100% owned by Mayban Ageas Holdings Berhad (formerly known as Mayban Fortis Holdings Berhad). Mayban Ageas Holdings Berhad in turn is owned by Etiqa International Holdings Berhad (69%), a wholly owned subsidiary of Maybank and Ageas Insurance International NV (31%).

The company was established on 5 March 1997. The formation of the company is as a result of the group’s decision to corporatise the Investment Department of Aseambankers, which started operations in 1975. When Mayban Investment commenced operations in January 1998, it assumed the assets and liabilities of the Investment Department of Aseambankers.
